Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains how AR Gamezone & Café (“we”, “us”), a gaming lounge and café at Opposite IDBI Bank, Bela Road, Mithanpura, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, 842002, India, handles personal information. It covers this website, bookings made here or at the counter, payments taken at the venue, our free browser games and messages we send on WhatsApp. We collect only what we need to run the business and to reply to you.
What we collect and why
- Bookings: your name and mobile number (and your email address if you choose to give one), the session you booked and any special request you write. We use these to hold your slot, to identify you at the counter and to contact you about that booking. Staff can also make a booking for you by phone or at the counter, using the same details.
- Payments at the venue: sessions and café items are paid for at the counter in cash or by UPI. We record the amount, the method, the time and — for UPI — the reference number you show us, against your booking or bill. We do not receive or store your UPI PIN, bank account or card details.
- Contact form: your name, your message and the phone number or email you provide, so that we can reply.
- GTA VI updates list: your name and the phone number or email you provide, with the date you agreed, so that we can send the updates you asked for.
- Offers on WhatsApp (only if you agree): your name, mobile number, when and how you agreed, and whether each message we sent was delivered or read. See “WhatsApp messages” below.
- Free browser games: when you press Play we record which game was played, for how long, and the score. This is linked to a random identifier stored in your browser, not to your name, phone number or any booking. See “Free games” below.
- Photos and videos at the venue: with your permission we may publish a photo or short clip of you playing. See “Photos and videos” below.
- Technical data: our servers process your IP address to deliver the site and to limit abuse (for example, too many requests in a short time). We do not use your IP address to identify you or to build a profile.
Online payments
This website does not take payment at present: nothing is charged when you book online, and we do not collect card, net-banking or wallet details. If we introduce online payment in future, it will be handled on the secure pages of a licensed payment gateway. Card details would be entered with that provider and would not be stored on our systems; we would receive only the payment status, amount and a transaction reference. This policy will be updated before that happens.
WhatsApp messages
- We send offers on WhatsApp only to people who have clearly agreed — by ticking the box on the booking form, or by telling our staff. Having your number from a booking is not treated as agreement, and agreeing is never a condition of booking.
- We keep a record of when and how you agreed, and of any later change, so that we can show your choice was respected.
- You can stop at any time: reply STOP to any of our WhatsApp messages, call +91 7762967288, or tell us at the counter. We stop sending promptly and keep your number on a “do not message” list so that you are not contacted again by mistake.
- Messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta, which processes your phone number and the message in order to deliver it, under its own terms and privacy policy.
Free games
- The free games need no account. To count how often and how long each game is played, your browser creates a random identifier and keeps it in its local storage. It contains nothing about you and is not combined with booking or contact details.
- While a game is open, your browser reports the time spent playing, paused or in the background, and your score. We use these figures only as statistics, to see which games people enjoy.
- Your best scores and your sound on/off choice are also kept in your browser’s local storage and are not sent to us as a profile. Clearing your browser’s site data removes all of it.
Photos and videos
We publish a photo or clip of a customer only if that person — or, for a child, their parent or guardian — has agreed. If you appear on this website and would like it removed, contact us and we will take it down.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
- The public website does not set cookies in order to work. It uses your browser’s local storage for the free-game items described above.
- Staff who sign in to the admin area receive one essential session cookie.
- Game trailers are YouTube videos. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play on a trailer; the player then comes from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (“no-cookie”) address, and Google’s own policies apply to it.
- The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps, which receives your IP address when the map loads.
- If we enable Google Analytics, it is used only to count visits and actions such as starting a booking or tapping “call”. We do not send your name, phone number, email or booking reference to it.
Who can see your information
- Only authorised staff of AR Gamezone & Café can view booking, payment and contact details, and access is limited by role. Sensitive staff actions are recorded in an audit log.
- We do not sell your information or share it for other companies’ advertising.
- It is processed on our behalf by the companies that host this website and its database and, where you have agreed to WhatsApp messages, by Meta. If we enable analytics or online payments, by Google and by the payment gateway respectively. Some of these providers may process data on servers outside India.
- We may disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Bookings, contact messages and updates-list registrations: kept while they are needed for the purposes above. We periodically delete finished bookings, old messages and registrations that have been withdrawn once they are older than the retention period we have set.
- Payment records: kept for our accounts and for as long as tax and accounting rules require, without your contact details once the related booking has been deleted.
- WhatsApp list and consent history: kept while you are on the list and, after you opt out, for as long as needed to make sure you are not messaged again.
- Free-game statistics: kept as usage figures; they hold no name or contact details.
- Photos and videos: until we retire them or you ask us to remove them.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see “Your choices”).
How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), staff accounts are protected by passwords stored in hashed form and by role-based access, and the system limits repeated requests. No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will inform you and the authorities where the law requires it.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
- Withdraw your agreement to WhatsApp offers or GTA VI updates at any time; this does not affect any booking.
- Ask us to remove a photo or video of you from the website.
- Raise a concern about how we have handled your information.
To make a request, call +91 7762967288 or use the contact form. We may need to confirm your identity (for example, with the mobile number used for a booking) before acting. You may also have rights under Indian data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as and when its provisions apply.
Children
Bookings for children should be made by a parent or guardian using the adult’s contact details. We do not knowingly add a child’s phone number to our WhatsApp list, and we publish a photo or video of a child only with a parent’s or guardian’s agreement.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
